Tap Dance Classes
Liberty School of Dance in Osterley, Isleworth offers Tap dance classes for children. What little dancer doesn’t enjoy putting on a pair of tap shoes and making noise with their feet?
The smiles on the children’s faces when they put on their shoes for the first time is always a picture! A skilled style requiring special shoes with metal toe and heel taps to create rhythmic and complex combinations which respond to the music as well as making music of their own!
This is a fantastic skill for teaching children about rhythm, musicality and coordination.
Disciplines at School
During classes, we teach a relaxed and highly skilled use of the foot to create wonderful sounds and rhythms. Whilst the feet work furiously and complexly below, the upper body is trained to have a calm and easy carriage.
We pride ourselves on providing a welcoming learning environment which is full of fun and inspires the student to face the various challenges of Tap dance.
This is such a wonderful dance style which can be a real showstopper! We follow the exam syllabus of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing for Tap.
